Howard Zinn: Vote for Obama but direct action needed

Hold your nose indeed.I think Zinn hit it on the head as usual. I voted early. I felt like a lapsed Catholic, kind of guilty.
We need a labor party to represent the working poor.
I would love to see a new social movement pressuring the Obama admin./Democrats Zinn is talking about or a strong coalition of greens, progressives,
unions, and community organizers coalesce into a party. That the timing that we would need a new wave of civil disobediance
now, coinciding with a new era of post-PATRIOT ACT political repression is seemingly coincidental until one acknowledges the unending class war being waged. The other side is always 10 steps ahead and ready to play for keeps. This Wall Street robbery was a big shot across our bow.
